Legislative Advocates is a state and local government relations and association management firm located in Salem, Oregon, which specializes in general business, land use, natural resources and telecommunications issues. The government relations work is performed by Fawn Barrie and Kelsey Wilson. We also have full-time support staff that assist with client services and with influencing state legislative and agency administrative proceedings.
Kelsey has worked in state lobbying and Oregon politics for more than a decade representing interests essential to Oregon’s economy – from transportation funding and policy to health care and energy. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Gonzaga University, where she was an Academic All-American collegiate golfer and played four years on the varsity women’s golf team. She and her husband live in Salem with their three children.
Fawn has worked in Oregon politics for the past 18 years. She represents clients on a variety of issues including general business issues, healthcare and natural resource issues. She previously served as the Communications Director for two former House Majority Leaders in the 2003 and 2005 Legislative Sessions and worked on several campaigns. She received her BA in Political Science from Wittenberg University and now lives in Salem with her husband and children.
Maggie has been an office administrator for Legislative Advocates for the last 7 years. She focuses on association management, administrative support, and project coordination for clients of Legislative Advocates. Before coming to Legislative Advocates, Maggie worked for the state Bureau of Labor and Industries in Portland and has a degree in Business Administration from Oregon State University. She lives in Salem with her husband and daughter.
